House and apartment lockout
Locked out, with your keys sitting inside
It happens to everyone eventually. The door clicks, the keys are on the kitchen counter, and it is cold out. Call, and the van comes to you.
Licensed by the State of California, LCO 7283, and insured. Free on-site estimate on most jobs.

How we get you back in
Most front doors in the city have a knob lock, a deadbolt, or both. In most cases the technician picks or bypasses them without damaging the lock or the door, and you are inside a few minutes after the van parks.
Some locks are harder. High security cylinders, old mortise locks in Victorian flats, and doors with a deadbolt that was never meant to be opened from outside. When drilling is the only way through, you hear the reason and the cost of the new lock first, and nothing happens without your okay.
Apartment buildings have one more step: the building door. If the street door is locked too, tell us on the phone so the technician comes ready for both.

How a lockout call goes
- Call and tell us the address.Plus what the lock looks like if you can see it: knob, deadbolt, keypad.
- Proof of residence.ID with the address, or a lease, bill or letter. If it is inside, you show it right after we open.
- Price before work. One look at the lock, then the final number.
- Door open.Non-destructive first. A new lock only if you want one.
How the price works
For a lockout, two things move the price most: what kind of lock is on the door, and what hour you call. A standard knob or deadbolt is the simple case; high security and mortise locks take longer.
Free on-site estimate on most jobs, and the final price is said before any work starts. You can still say no.
