Lock change and rekey
New place, lost key, someone you don't want in anymore
Every one of those ends the same way: the old keys should stop working today. We rekey or replace the locks on site and hand you the new keys.

Rekeying, explained in one paragraph
A pin tumbler lock holds a stack of tiny brass pins sized to fit exactly one key. We take the cylinder apart, swap the pins for a new combination and cut new keys to match. The lock on your door stays the same. The old keys stop working. It is the fastest and cheapest way to take back control of a door.
One customer moving into her first apartment had every lock rekeyed and every new key tested before we left. That is how it should go every time.

When replacing makes more sense
- The lock is worn, sticky or has been forced
- You want a better deadbolt or a high security cylinder
- You are switching to a keypad or smart lock
- The hardware is mismatched and you want one finish and one key

How the price works
For rekeys and lock changes, it comes down to how many locks, whether they share one key, and whether you want new hardware or keep what is on the door.
Free on-site estimate on most jobs, and the final price is said before any work starts. You can still say no.
