Questions and answers

I called and was told a technician would call me back, and nobody did. What happened?
It shouldn't have happened, and a few customers were right to say so in their reviews. Our rule is simple: we call back, no matter what, and nobody is left hanging. If you were told someone would call and it hasn't happened yet, call the same number again and you will get an answer on the spot.
How fast can you get here?
That comes down to the van's location at that moment. In the south side neighborhoods we are often close. Anywhere else you get a realistic arrival window on the phone, and you hear from the technician when the van is on the way.
Why won't you give me a price on the phone?
Ask for a ballpark and you will get one. What we avoid is a fake low number that grows at the door. The final price is set at the door after the technician sees the job, and you can say no.
Is there a service call fee?
On most jobs the estimate is free. If yours carries a service call fee, you are told during the call, never as a surprise at the door.
Do you damage the door or the lock?
We open without damage first. On normal lockouts that is almost always enough. Drilling only happens with your permission.
Do you need proof I live there or own the car?
Yes, always. ID with the address, a lease, a bill, or the car's registration. If it is locked inside, we check it right after opening.
Do you work at night and on weekends?
Yes. 24 hours, 7 days.
What payment do you take?
Cash, credit and debit cards, and checks.
Is there an address I can drive to?
No. We are fully mobile. That is why the van carries everything.
No car key left at all. Can you still help?
Yes, for most makes, on site. We do not work on Tesla vehicles.
Should I rekey or change my locks after moving in?
Rekeying is enough in most cases and costs less. Replace only if the lock is worn or you want an upgrade.
Do you speak Spanish?
Sí. Call the regular number and just start in Spanish.
Do you guarantee your work?
Yes, for six months on work we did. If something we made or installed fails because of us, we come back as many times as it takes, at no charge. Damage that happens afterwards, like a car key that went through the washing machine, isn't covered, and a return visit for that is a paid call.
Are you licensed?
Yes. California BSIS Locksmith Company License LCO 7283. You can check it on the state website.

Locked out, lost a key, or need a lock changed?

One call. Final price at the door before anything gets touched.
