Colma: more cars than people, and keys for all of them

Colma is small on the map and busy on the ground: the shopping centers off Serramonte Boulevard, the dealerships and service shops on El Camino, and the BART lot. Most of what we do here happens in a parking lot.

Parking lots and service shops

A car locked with the keys inside at the shops, a fob that died in the lot, a key lost somewhere between a store and the trunk: Colma's parking lots keep us busy. We open cars with proper tools and build keys right there in the lot, for most makes, including when the only key is gone. Service shops on El Camino call us when a customer's car arrives with no key or a key snapped in the ignition, and a replacement gets cut and paired in their bay.

The town itself

Colma's residential streets sit between Daly City and South City, and the house calls are the usual ones: a lockout, a worn lock, a rekey after a sale. We open without damage and rekey or replace on the spot. For the florists, shops and offices near the cemeteries we handle storefront hardware and rekeys when staff change.

How the price works

Lot jobs are priced like any car opening or key, by make and key type. Ask for a range on the phone; the final figure is settled once we see the car.

Free on-site estimate on most jobs, and the final price is said before any work starts. You can still say no.

Questions from Colma

I'm locked out of my car at Serramonte. How long?
Colma borders our home base, so usually not long. You get a real time on the phone.
A customer's car is in my shop with a broken key. Can you help?
Yes. We pull the broken piece and make a replacement in your bay, with the work order or registration as proof.
Can you make a fob with no key left?
For most makes, yes, right where it is parked.
Do you do homes in Colma?
Yes. Lockouts, rekeys and lock replacements.
