Where the vans and trucks get their keys

Bayview is the working end of the city. Delivery vans, box trucks, tow yards, garages and warehouses between Third Street and the water. Most of our calls here are about a vehicle that needs a key, not a house that needs a door opened.

Keys for working vehicles

A delivery van with a lost key is a van that is not delivering. We make keys for the vans and trucks that run out of the lots along Evans, Cargo Way and the streets around the shipyard: transponder keys, remote keys, and replacements when the only key is gone. The work happens in your lot, so the vehicle doesn't need a tow to a dealer across town.

The garages and tow yards here call us for the same reason. A car arrives with no key, or a customer's key breaks off in the ignition, and a replacement gets cut and paired on the spot.

Locks for big doors

The other half of the work is commercial. Warehouses, fenced lots and workshops need hardware that stands up to use: heavy duty deadbolts, padlocks and hasps, panic bars on exit doors, and rekeys when a crew changes. We handle lockouts on storage units and shop doors too, with proof that the space is yours.

And yes, homes as well. Bayview's houses have the same old locks as the rest of the south side, and we open and replace them the same way.

How the price works

Fleet keys are priced per vehicle by make and key type, and we can quote a lot of several vans before we come. Commercial hardware is priced by the door.

Free on-site estimate on most jobs, and the final price is said before any work starts. You can still say no.

Questions from Bayview

Can you make keys for a whole fleet of vans?
Yes. Give us the list of makes and years and we price it up front, then do the whole lot in one visit.
A customer's car is in my shop with no key. Can you help?
Yes. A key gets cut and paired in your shop for most makes, with the registration or your work order as proof.
Do you install panic bars on warehouse exits?
Yes, including vertical rod devices on double doors, set so they open with one push from inside.
Do you still do houses in Bayview?
Of course. Lockouts, rekeys and worn lock replacements, same as everywhere else.
