Over the Golden Gate, mostly for car keys

Marin is the other direction from our home base, across the bridge, and we go when the job is worth the drive for you. Most of the time that job is a car key: a lost fob in Novato, a key that stopped working in San Rafael, a spare in Mill Valley.

Why Marin calls us for keys

Dealers in Marin are few and far between, and a tow across the county for a lost key is an expensive afternoon. We come to the driveway in Novato, San Rafael, San Anselmo or Sausalito, read the car, cut the blade and pair it, all in the driveway, for most makes, including when no key is left. The car never moves.

Homes, and the honest answer on timing

We open homes in Marin, rekey them when they sell, and replace worn locks, the same way we do in the city. What we are straight about is the drive. The bridge and the 101 traffic decide how fast we arrive, and the person on the phone tells you where the van is before you commit. If another locksmith is closer at that hour, we will say so.

How the price works

Marin jobs usually carry a distance charge for the bridge and the drive. You hear it on the phone, before the van leaves.

Free on-site estimate on most jobs, and the final price is said before any work starts. You can still say no.

Questions from Marin

Do you really come to Novato?
Yes, when the job calls for it. Car keys especially. You get an honest time and price on the phone first.
How long from San Francisco to San Rafael?
Depends on the bridge and the hour. The person on the phone tells you where the van is and gives you a real estimate.
No key left for my car in Sausalito. Can you do that?
For most makes, yes, right where it is parked.
Is there a charge for the bridge?
The distance is built into the price we give you on the phone. No surprises at the door.
